Peter Tsiomplikas

Principal | Engineering & Product Development Peter Tsiomplikas is the founder and principal of TELEEO, a principal-led engineering and product development consultancy focused on complex medical device, life science, automation, and advanced instrumentation systems. Peter brings two decades of experience developing sophisticated products from early concept through commercialization. His background spans robotic surgical instruments, laboratory automation, microfluidics, precision mechanisms, consumable devices, opto-mechanical systems, and industrial equipment. He has worked across the full product development lifecycle—from system architecture, detailed mechanical design, prototyping, and characterization through verification, design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and sustaining engineering.

What distinguishes Peter is the combination of senior product-development leadership and hands-on engineering depth. He has built and led multidisciplinary R&D organizations, managed complex product portfolios and multimillion-dollar development programs, and represented engineering at the executive, Board, and Scientific Advisory Board level. At the same time, he remains a practicing engineer who is comfortable developing concepts in CAD, building prototypes, designing experiments, analyzing performance, working directly with suppliers, and solving difficult technical problems at the bench.

Before founding TELEEO, Peter served as Vice President of Product R&D at IsoPlexis, where he helped take the company from venture-backed startup through public-company growth. He architected the IsoLight and IsoSpark laboratory automation platforms and led development across instrumentation, disposable consumables, reagents, software, and manufacturing systems. Earlier in his career, he developed medical-market laboratory automation at PerkinElmer and was a lead mechanical engineer and co-inventor of the AutoX750 precision automation platform at Instron.

Today, through TELEEO, Peter works directly with clients on the problems where experienced engineering judgment matters most: defining the right architecture, understanding what is driving performance, reducing technical risk, developing robust prototypes, and turning promising concepts into products that can be built, tested, and commercialized.
